Russia's revenues from the sale of energy resources rose to 5.7 trillion rubles (about $64 billion), according to what the Ministry of Finance announced.
The ministry said in a report it published that the volume of oil and gas revenues in the period from January to June of this year increased by more than one and a half times, or by 68.5 percent, compared to the same period in 2023, and amounted to about 5.7 trillion rubles.
The report indicated that the increase in revenues achieved in the first half of this year by 700 billion rubles above the previously expected level, is largely due to the rise in prices of Russian “Urals” oil, and selling it at a price higher than the ceiling set by the West at $60 per barrel.
