8,880 male and female students accepted in the first semester of the academic year (2024-2025)

Kuwait University announced the acceptance of 8,880 male and female students in the first semester of the next academic year (2024-2025), an increase of 423 male and female students over last year, including Kuwaiti students and children of Kuwaiti women.

Acting Dean of Admissions and Registration at Kuwait University, Dr. Fadhel Aziz, said in a press statement that the process of distributing admission applications for Kuwaiti students and children of Kuwaiti women who graduated from high school and met the admission requirements was completed during the application submission period, noting that "all students who chose the specializations that met the admission requirements were accepted."


Aziz added that this number does not include students accepted in foreign missions and Abdullah Al-Salem University who preferred to continue their study missions instead of Kuwait University, as well as those who chose desires whose equivalent average or percentage in high school does not match the minimum limits that the admission process ended with in light of the numbers specified in these specializations by the relevant colleges.


He pointed out the possibility of submitting a new admission application for the second semester of the next academic year on the date that the Deanship of Admissions and Registration will announce later, as according to the decision of the University Council, no amendments are allowed to be made to the specializations specified in the admission application after the end of the specified period for receiving applications.


He stated that in order to ensure that the criteria for accepting students are clear to everyone, it was decided to publish the minimum equivalent rates for admission to all specializations and colleges on the university's official website. The student can also know his admission specialization by entering his application for admission or through the unified government application for electronic services (Sahl).


He explained that the competition for seats in all colleges was according to the equivalent rate or secondary school percentage without discrimination between males and females applying to the university or between Kuwaitis and children of Kuwaiti women.


Aziz stated that the equivalent rate is calculated based on the results of the academic ability tests required for each college, which each student takes before joining the university, in addition to the student's percentage in secondary school.


He called on Kuwaiti students and children of Kuwaiti women, graduates of the unified system and the religious institute, who applied online and those who applied to the admission and registration hall to pay a fee of 10 Kuwaiti dinars (about 33 US dollars) through the payment system (K.Net) after announcing the admission results until the acceptance is approved by entering the electronic admission system.


He added that "it is not required for Kuwaiti students and children of Kuwaiti women to review and submit documents in the admission and registration hall, while Kuwaiti students and children of Kuwaiti women who graduated from the American and English high schools must review the admission and registration hall to submit their documents and approve their acceptance during the period from July 30 to August 1, through dates that will be determined by text messages."


Regarding English high school students expected to graduate from Kuwaitis and children of Kuwaiti women who submitted applications to join the university electronically during the specified dates, they must submit their final results to the Deanship of Admission and Registration within two working days from the date of announcing their results and "they will be accepted according to the announced minimum limits for colleges and specializations."


He added that "the opportunity These students are equally accepted to the university as their colleagues who completed their papers during the application period.


He pointed out that the Deanship of Admission and Registration has set a date for registering new students in the academic courses during the period from August 18 to 22, and a registration date will be allocated to each student, which will be sent to him via the SMS service.
