Al-Mutairi inaugurates the "Media" Museum in the Ministry Building

Minister of Information and Culture Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi inaugurated the (Media) Museum in the Ministry Building, which aims to shed light on the history of media in Kuwait and its development, and contains pictures of works that shaped the memory of the public in Kuwait and the region.

Minister Al-Mutairi said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) today, Wednesday, that the (Media) Museum is a witness to a rich and distinguished media history, stressing that the opening comes as a culmination of the ongoing efforts to document and history of media in our beloved country.


He pointed out that the museum includes a number of devices such as cameras and audio devices that were used in the work of the Ministry of Information and its programs in the past, as well as pictures of a number of immortal artistic works in the public's memory and a number of awards that the ministry's work won through its internal and external participations.


He added that the museum also includes a distinguished collection of pictures and television and radio works that were part of the journey of the venerable Kuwait Television and Radio, in addition to old devices and equipment used by the ministry in its early stages.


He explained that the (Media) Museum documents the ministry's contribution to conveying events and information and strengthening national identity by presenting shows that shed light on the history and journey of Kuwaiti media.


He stated that the museum reflects the strategic objectives of the Ministry of Information to consolidate the cultural, artistic and media heritage with a modern and creative vision, expressing his thanks to everyone who contributed to the completion of this project with the valuable historical and cultural content it provides.
