This strange incident occurred in a match between Gremio Anapolis and Centro Oeste in the Brazilian second division of football, in the 12th round, yesterday, Wednesday.

A video clip showed a security man carrying a rifle, and he was seen firing a rubber bullet, without warning, at Gremio Annapolis goalkeeper, Ramon Souza, who was injured in the leg.

The process of shooting the rubber bullet at Gremio's goalkeeper occurred while an atmosphere of confusion prevailed in the match between the players of the two teams after the end of the match, as the players were arguing on the touchline.

The injured goalkeeper was seen screaming in pain and limping away from the scene.

In another video, the player was seen on the ground while the medical team treated him and provided first aid to the injured player, whose injury did not pose a threat to his life.

The match, which took place on July 10, ended with the Gremio team losing to Centro Oeste by a goal of two.

The club said on its Instagram account that it witnessed a disgusting event after its goalkeeper was hit by a rubber bullet fired at him by a security man at Jonas Duarte Stadium.

He added, "It is a horrific, untrustworthy and criminal act on the part of someone who should provide security and safety for the people at the Jonas Duarte Stadium. July 10 was marked by a violent and horrific assault against one of our players," adding, "He will take appropriate measures until the responsible party is punished and the situation prevails."
