The Office of International Military Cooperation in the Ministry of National Defense in China awarded the Kuwaiti military attaché in Beijing, Brigadier General Noman Al-Rashed, the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Medal (August 1), which is described as the highest honor in the Chinese army, in appreciation of his efforts and endeavors to enhance bilateral military cooperation between the two countries.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense said in a statement today, Saturday, that this took place in a ceremony held on this occasion, where the Director of the West Asia Office in the Chinese Ministry of Defense, Brigadier General Chen Lei, received Brigadier General Al-Rashed and awarded him the medal in recognition of his endeavors during his completed period of work as Defense Attache at the Embassy of the State of Kuwait in China.
She added that Brigadier General Al-Rashed expressed his thanks and appreciation for awarding him the military medal and praised the depth of the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields, especially in the field of military cooperation.
The August 1st Medal, awarded by the Chairman of the Central Military Commission, is the highest honor in the Chinese army, as it is given to military personnel who have made outstanding contributions to protecting national sovereignty, security, and development interests.
