The Civil Defense in Gaza revealed the death toll from the Israeli bombing that targeted the Al-Tabi'een school on Saturday.
The Civil Defense stated that the death toll reached 93 dead and 54 wounded, noting that some of the wounded are in critical condition suffering from burns and amputations.
He continued: "There are missing persons and victims whose remains were found as a result of the Israeli bombing of the Al-Tabi'een school."
The government media office said in a statement: "The occupation army directly bombed the displaced people during the dawn prayer, and this is what rapidly increased the number of martyrs."
He added: "Medical crews, civil defense, relief and emergency teams have not been able to recover the bodies of all the martyrs so far."
For its part, the Israeli army said that the raid targeted fighters from the Hamas and "Jihad" movements who were active from the complex.
A video clip from the site showed scattered remains and other bodies being carried away and others covered with blankets on the ground. Empty public toilets were also seen lying in a pool of blood, as were burnt mattresses and a baby's doll in the rubble.
