The American network "CNN" quoted two sources it described as informed on Wednesday that the Lebanese Hezbollah appears to be planning to attack Israel independently of Iran.
One of the sources said that "Hezbollah is moving faster than Iran in its planning, and is looking to attack Israel in the coming days."
The second source said that Hezbollah may act without prior warning, which does not apply to Iran given Lebanon's proximity to Israel as a direct neighbor to the north.
The same source added that there is no clear coordination between Hezbollah and Iran at the present time.
Israel targeted a prominent Hezbollah leader, Fouad Shukr, in the southern suburbs of Beirut last week.
