A recent industry report showed that China's live streaming e-commerce industry has witnessed rapid development, with user numbers and sales volume continuously increasing.
Live broadcast sales across major e-commerce platforms in China reached 1.27 trillion yuan ($176 billion) in the first half of this year, according to a report jointly issued by institutions including the National Institute of Metrology and the Science and Technology Research Center of the Chinese Customs.
The report, reported by Xinhua News Agency today, said that in the first six months of the year, there were more than 110 million e-commerce offers via live broadcast, exceeding 70 million pieces of goods.
According to the report, the list included traditional goods, such as jewelry, sports equipment, and outdoor equipment, in addition to sportswear and underwear.
