The Egyptian microfinance and payments company MNT-Hala said on Friday that it has obtained additional financing worth $157.5 million as it looks to expand outside Egypt.
The company stated that the International Finance Corporation will grant it $40 million in financing, and Development Partners International and Lorax Capital Partners will grant it $117.5 million.
Lorax Capital Partners has already invested in the company. Halan raised $400 million in funding in February 2023.
The company, which provides small and microfinance services, payments, consumer finance and e-commerce, said it now has more than seven million customers in Egypt.
