Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced on Tuesday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may visit the country next October or November.
Erdogan said in statements reported by the official Turkish Anadolu Agency: “I believe that Netanyahu will conduct his visit, postponed due to illness, to Turkey during October or November, and talks will continue to hold it at the most appropriate time.”
Erdogan and Netanyahu met last Tuesday, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meetings, where they discussed political and economic relations between the two countries and regional and international issues, according to what was reported by the official Turkish Anatolia news agency.
Erdogan told reporters on Thursday: “We explained the benefits of establishing a mechanism in which the ministers of the two countries participate in order to increase cooperation in various fields.”
