Hezbollah targets two Israeli sites and raids on southern Lebanon

Lebanese Hezbollah announced on Saturday that it "targeted spy equipment at the Israeli Ramia site and a gathering of Israeli soldiers in Tal Shaer with missiles and hit them directly."

Sources reported that the Israeli raids targeted the towns of Majdal Silm and Aita al-Shaab in southern Lebanon.

The Lebanese Minister of Health said that the Israeli raid on the town of Majdal Silm resulted in the injury of a citizen who required his admission to intensive care.

This targeting comes amid a "charged" atmosphere between Israel and Lebanon, and anticipation of a future strike by Hamas or Hezbollah against Israel.

Regional tensions have escalated following the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, head of Hamas's political bureau in Tehran, a day after an Israeli raid in Beirut killed Fouad Shukr, a prominent Hezbollah military commander.
