His Highness added, “It also requires you, my dear countrymen, to control the political scene, evaluate it, amend it, and correct its distortions, and to have a clear, frank, and courageous opinion on all issues and issues that members of the National Assembly may raise, in order to prevent some members of this assembly from protesting that some of their demands are merely demands.” "Popularity is the exact opposite."

He stated that these demands “do not represent the citizens, do not reflect their demands, or emulate their aspirations. Even though they appear to be parliamentary demands, their hidden meaning and real goal is to achieve personal gains. They are merely demands to clear one’s conscience.” His Highness stressed that this matter requires the Kuwaiti people to activate their important and pivotal role in the process of questioning, monitoring and holding the representatives of the National Assembly accountable and informing them that these demands are not the demands of the people. His Highness said, “The ones who correct the Assembly are its voters.” His Highness stated that parliamentary practices suffered and are still suffering from some of the actions taken by its members, which led to strong dissatisfaction among citizens because they did not achieve the desired ambition in achieving the aspirations and hopes of citizens.

He stressed the need to improve parliamentary practice by abandoning and not adopting minor issues and matters that do not constitute the interest of citizens, and refraining from asking parliamentary questions that require a complete legislative chapter to be answered, as well as refraining from submitting legislation, proposals, and demands on the pretext that citizens want them while they are innocent of them. His Highness called for not using the interrogation as a pressure tool, and not to incite the street and to occupy the citizens and the street with side and marginal matters that are already known to be unreliable and do not conform to the demands of the citizens because they do not achieve justice for the people of the country.
