The ministry said in a statement that the General Department of Residence Affairs Investigations, represented by the Search and Investigation Department, was able to arrest the gang consisting of six people of Arab and Asian nationalities.

It indicated that this came based on the instructions and directives of the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Yousef Saud Al-Sabah on the necessity of intensifying search and investigation operations to uncover any illegal activities and combat them with all firmness.

The statement explained that the details indicate that the accused transferred the residencies of workers present in the country to the company and registered their personal vehicles with the aim of obtaining the largest possible number of vehicle operating licenses and submitting them to the competent authorities to increase the assessment of need, as well as extracting driving licenses in exchange for sums of money for undeserving persons.
