Internet disruption reaches the Paris Olympics

The organizing committee for the Summer Olympics in Paris announced on Friday that its information technology operations were affected as a result of an Internet outage one week before the start of the Games.

The organizing committee said in a statement: “We have resorted to activating emergency plans in order to continue our operations.”

The committee did not reveal any details regarding how its operations were affected.
