Leisure Time

If You Want to Know: Are You Intelligent or Not? Are You Successful or Unsuccessful - God Has Written Your Fortune - And Are You a Success or a Failure? Then Observe How You Spend Your Leisure Time.

Every person, no matter how busy their life may be, has moments of leisure. However, not everyone utilizes these moments effectively, and the outcome depends on how we choose to spend our free time. Success often stems from wisely using these idle hours, while failure can result from misusing or squandering them.

No endeavor succeeds without planning, and leisure time—distinct from work—also requires thoughtful planning. Consider how you can use it to benefit yourself and those around you—your family, children, and friends. Sharing leisure time with others can be mutually beneficial. Although it belongs to us individually, it’s also an opportunity to give to those who have a right upon us or to those we care about. Thus, the bounty of leisure time can be both personal and communal.

Look around you and contemplate your situation. Do you see individuals who exhaust themselves with work until they are nearly drained, as if they are being led to the graveyard of the exhausted? Or perhaps you encounter those who are idle, their emptiness causing harm to their minds and leaving them bewildered—seemingly possessing nothing. Such is the harshness of time and the trials of life.

The value of work is often underestimated by those who engage in it, just as the value of leisure time is often overlooked by those who don’t work. This represents a cognitive flaw that robs individuals of the true essence of life.

Consider this: both the rich and the poor are recipients of blessings. The healthy and the sick alike experience divine favors. Whether married or single, each state holds its own blessings. Even those who have or have not borne children are still recipients of divine grace. Whether married or living alone, both situations have their own blessings. If only minds could comprehend and wisdom could awaken, we would recognize the blessings around us—the shade, the water, and the fruits of our lives—and seize them.

The unsolvable problem arises when a person enjoys blessings but remains unaware of their abundance. This lack of awareness is a cognitive distortion that diminishes the richness of life.

So, it’s not merely about greed or contentment; it’s about knowledge. Following this philosophical perspective, we find that goodness lies not only in material possessions but also in the enlightenment that guides our path, allowing us to navigate life’s winding roads, even when they are thorny or treacherous. Knowledge shields us from colliding with the pitfalls of trials and tribulations.
