International artist Madonna announced, on Saturday, her donation to the Human Appeal Relief Association to help those affected by the earthquake in Morocco.
Madonna pointed to Morocco's place in her heart and its severe impact on the earthquake that struck it, as it is considered the largest disaster to strike the region in the past sixty years. She strongly called on her audience to participate in these humanitarian efforts and donate what they can to help those affected in this difficult time.
Madonna, who is 65 years old, tweeted in her post on the “X” website: “Morocco has a special place in my heart... Today I am donating to Human Appeal to contribute to urgent relief efforts for those affected in Morocco, and I invite you to donate like me.”
In another post by the international artist of Italian origins, she posted a picture of herself in Morocco on her Instagram page and commented: “I will never forget the beautiful moments I spent with friends and family over the years in Morocco.” She continued: “A beautiful and magical place. Help as much as you can.”
The pop star has always traveled to Morocco on various occasions to spend her holidays, perform concerts, or celebrate a special occasion. She chose the Moroccan city of Marrakesh to commemorate her sixtieth birthday.
Madonna then wore a traditional Moroccan dress and Berber jewelry, and sent a message to her fans everywhere.
Despite the secrecy surrounding the details of Madonna's visit in August 2018, the local press reported that the artist had chosen Tamadot Castle to celebrate her sixtieth birthday, which falls on August 16, with a group of friends and associates.
It should be noted that the Queen of Pop, Madonna, had also shared a group of photos in the areas affected by the earthquake that struck southern Turkey and northern Syria on February 6, and called on all followers to send “love energy” to the affected people by donating to them.
