The Acting Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior chairs a security meeting to follow up on preparations for the start of the new academic year

•Intensifying security and traffic awareness campaigns for vehicle drivers and parents about traffic regulations and rules
Coinciding with the Ministry of Interior’s preparations for the start of the new academic year, the Acting Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Sheikh Talal Khalid Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, today, Wednesday, 9/13/2023, chaired a security meeting at the Ministry of Interior’s headquarters with the assistant undersecretaries, in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Lieutenant General Anwar Al-Barjas.
His Excellency Sheikh Talal Khaled Al-Sabah listened to a detailed explanation of the preparations of the field sectors of the Ministry of Interior for the start of the 2023-2024 academic year and the coordination mechanism between them. He also reviewed the mechanism of security and traffic deployment throughout the country and the spread of fixed and mobile patrols on main and subsidiary roads and intersections and in the vicinity of schools and universities.
The Acting Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior stressed the need to deal with traffic congestion first and foremost, be firm in confronting any wrong behavior, and be courteous and provide assistance to motorists on the roads to ensure that everyone reaches their destination safely.
He directed the need to intensify the security presence on all highways and main and subsidiary intersections leading to residential areas and the vicinity of schools to prevent obstruction of traffic and eliminate random parking in front of schools and the field presence of all supervisory and leadership levels to follow up on the security and traffic situation first-hand and to intensify security and traffic awareness campaigns for vehicle drivers and guardians of the regulations. Traffic rules and wrong traffic behaviors that affect the safety of road users.
The Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Interior expressed his confidence in the ability of the Ministry of Interior’s employees to perform the tasks assigned to them, stressing that the success of the work and achieving the desired goals stems from cooperation and work in the spirit of one team.
