Minister of Interior: No one is above the law and the first and last mission of the security forces is to maintain security in the country

First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah stressed today, Wednesday, that "no one is above the law, whoever he may be, and that the first and last mission of the security forces is to maintain security in the country, uncover the truth, and give everyone his due."

This came in a press statement issued by the General Department of Security Relations and Media at the Ministry of Interior after Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef received Dr. Imad Saab, who was accused in a case of possession of "malicious" narcotics and was acquitted after the circumstances of the case were revealed by the Criminal Security Sector represented by the General Department for Combating Narcotics and accusing six people, including three military personnel working in the Ministry of Interior, who stopped the victim and planted narcotics in him with the aim of deporting him from the country.


Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef explained that the military personnel and the rest of the accused were referred to the Public Prosecution to take legal action against them.


For his part, Dr. Imad Saab expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Interior for the good reception and the efforts of the security personnel in uncovering the truth even if one of its members was involved in the case, stressing that "the State of Kuwait is a state of law and no one is wronged in it."
