Russian Army Reveals Ukraine's Losses on Kursk Axis

The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Friday that the Ukrainian army lost 280 soldiers and 27 armored vehicles on the Kursk axis over the past day, bringing its total losses to 945 soldiers and 102 armored vehicles since the start of the attack.

The Russian Defense Ministry added in a statement that its forces continue to repel the Ukrainian army's attempt to penetrate Russian territory, adding that "the process of destroying Ukrainian forces units is ongoing."


The statement reported that over the past day, units of the "North" group of forces and the reserves that were brought in, supported by the army's air strikes and artillery fire, thwarted enemy units' attempts to launch raids deep into Russian territory on the Kursk axis.


Russian forces targeted Ukrainian units with their fire in the areas of the towns of Darino, Gogolevka, Milovoye, Nikolsky and in the western suburbs of the city of Sudzha.


The airstrikes destroyed 5 Stryker armored personnel carriers in the Yuzhny area, and a Ukrainian column consisting of a tank, 4 armored personnel carriers and a Kozak armored fighting vehicle in the area of ​​the village of Martynovka.


The airstrikes and missile strikes also targeted enemy reserves in the Sumy area on the Ukrainian side of the border.


The statement said that Ukrainian losses over the past 24 hours exceeded 280 servicemen and 27 armored vehicles, including 4 tanks, 5 armored personnel carriers, 18 armored combat vehicles, 6 vehicles, a 155-mm M777 howitzer, a 155-mm Krab self-propelled gun and a 152-mm D-20 gun.


According to the statement, since the start of the fighting on the Kursk axis, Ukrainian forces have lost a total of about 945 soldiers and 102 armored vehicles, including 12 tanks, 17 armored personnel carriers, 6 infantry fighting vehicles, 67 armored combat vehicles, as well as 12 vehicles, two Buk-M1 anti-aircraft missile systems and 3 field artillery pieces.
