In detail, the coordinator of the covert action in the Nikolaev region, Sergei Lebedev, announced today, Wednesday, that Russian forces targeted a Ukrainian military unit of 400 individuals near the city of Sumy in northern Ukraine.

Lebedev added: "During the night and in the morning, successful attacks were carried out on the Sumy region and the city of Sumy, which led to the complete destruction of an ammunition depot on the outskirts of the city of Sumy. We also hit individuals in large groups exceeding four hundred. It is not yet known who survived," according to the Russian Sputnik news website.

On the other hand, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Russian forces and the Federal Security Service continued to target Ukrainian forces in the border areas of Kursk Oblast at night.

It added that air and missile strikes, artillery fire and active Russian forces prevented Ukrainian forces from advancing deep into Russian territory.

It explained that Ukrainian forces' losses amounted to about 260 fighters, 7 tanks, 8 armored personnel carriers, 3 infantry fighting vehicles and 31 armored vehicles in one day.

The ministry later said that about 300 soldiers from the 22nd Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian army, supported by 11 tanks and more than 20 armored combat vehicles, attacked, yesterday, Tuesday, at 8:00 am, border positions covering the border in the areas of the villages of Nikolaevo-Daryno and Oleshnya, located near the border with Ukraine in Kursk Oblast.

She added that Russian tactical and offensive operational aircraft attacked Ukrainian forces in the areas of the villages of Basovka, Zhuravka, Khoten, Yunakovka, Belovody and Khrapovshchyny in the Sumy region. Russian army aviation successfully carried out raids on Ukrainian armored vehicles, and defenses were strengthened in the Kursk direction.

As a result, Russian forces destroyed 16 Ukrainian armored vehicles, including 6 tanks, 2 infantry fighting vehicles, 4 armored personnel carriers, 3 Kozak armored combat vehicles, and an engineering barrier vehicle.

In the same context, Lebedev revealed on Wednesday that Russian forces targeted a Ukrainian military base, warehouse and gathering in the Kyiv region, noting that the sounds of explosions lasted for half an hour and were very strong.

Lebedev added that field sources in the region sent information indicating the presence of areas for training military units in the region, specifically in the military base, which could accommodate more than 1,000 soldiers.

Lebedev noted that explosions were also heard around the Rostock railway station, which houses the warehouses of the Novaya Poshta company, which is famous for transporting goods, ammunition and heavy military equipment.
