That's why we haven't honored him with the World Cup title yet... Al-Khelaifi responds to Messi's

The president of the French club Paris Saint-Germain, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, responded to the statements of the Argentine star Lionel Messi, in which he accused his former team of “lack of appreciation” after achieving the World Cup championship with his country, Argentina.

لهذا لم نكرمه بعد لقب المونديال .. الخليفي يرد على اتهام ميسي

A few days ago, Messi attacked his former French team, Paris Saint-Germain, and expressed his dissatisfaction with the team's failure to "honor" him after winning the World Cup with his country, Argentina, in 2022.

Messi said: "I was the only Argentine player, among the squad consisting of 26 players in my country's national team, who did not receive honors from his club after winning the World Cup."

Al-Khalifi replied

On Sunday, Al-Khelaifi responded to Messi’s statements, in a statement published on French media, and said:

There is a lot of talk coming from abroad. But the truth is that everyone watched the video after Messi returned from the World Cup.

We congratulated Messi publicly during training, and this is what appeared in the video, and we also congratulated him personally behind the scenes, and the congratulations were respectful and calm because we are a French club.

We did not celebrate on the field in front of the fans, out of respect for the nationality of the club he plays for, which is a French club that represents France, and out of respect for his French teammates, who lost the final.

It is noteworthy that Messi led Argentina to defeat France in the 2022 World Cup final, last December.
