The death toll as a result of the Israeli strike on the port of Hodeidah in Yemen rose to 14 people. According to local sources.
Sources in Yemen said, "The death toll from the Israeli raids on the port of Hodeidah and its surroundings has risen to 14 dead, 6 missing, and more than 90 wounded, 30 of them seriously."
It was reported that 12 of the dead were workers in the Yemeni Oil Company's sample analysis laboratory, fuel tank filling employees, and others working in customs clearance.
According to the same sources, most of the dead and injured were residents of Hodeidah Governorate working in the port, and photos also showed a number of charred bodies as a result of the Israeli attack.
The army added in a statement, "The raids came in response to hundreds of attacks against the State of Israel over recent months."
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said: “The port of Hodeidah that we attacked was not innocent. The Houthis are an integral part of the Iranian axis of evil, and the attack reminds the enemies that there is no place that Israel cannot reach.” He continued, “We will defend ourselves in every way.”
He added that the port that was bombed by Israeli fighter jets in Yemen on Saturday was used by the Houthi group to import Iranian weapons.
