The Egyptian Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Dr. Mahmoud Esmat, stressed the existence of a comprehensive plan to achieve energy security and increase reliance on renewable energy sources in light of the electric energy mix policy to meet the increasing demand.
During a surprise visit he made to the Administrative Capital Power Station in Egypt, the Egyptian Minister pointed out the urgent plan to reduce load shedding, improve the quality of feed, the efficiency of using traditional fuel, reduce power losses, especially in distribution networks, and ensure sustainability and stability.
The Egyptian Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Dr. Mahmoud Esmat, also explained that the field presence at work sites “in production, transportation and distribution” for all levels of management and achieving the objectives of the interim plan regarding adherence to good operating standards are among the most important determinants of performance evaluation during the current stage, praising the Administrative Capital station as one of the largest. Stations in the Middle East rely on air cooling through refrigeration condensers.
The Administrative Capital Electricity Generating Station is one of three stations established by the German company Siemens in Cairo, Beni Suef, and Burullus, with a total capacity of about 14,400 megawatts.
