A friendly match that the Kuwaiti Kazma Club announced that it played in Egypt against Beni Suef Telephones, caused a state of intense controversy on social media platforms.

The story began when Kazma Club announced on its website, on Thursday, that it would play a friendly match during its training camp in Egypt in preparation for the new season, noting that it had defeated Telephone Beni Suef 7-1.


However, the surprise is that the Beni Suef Telephone Club denied on its Facebook page that it would play any friendly matches, stressing that the news about holding a meeting for the team with its Kuwaiti counterpart was not true.


Beni Suef said through his account: “The news that circulated about holding a friendly match with the Kuwaiti Al-Kadhima Club is incorrect. The club has not played any friendly matches in the current period, and the sponsor has confirmed that there are no friendly matches arranged at this time.”


The Egyptian club warned against dealing with a player agent named “Sayed Riyad,” stressing that he had impersonated the club’s representative and organized a friendly match with Kazma Al-Kuwaiti. The club published a photo of this person taken during the controversial match.


Kazma explains

A state of controversy arose over the incident, but the Kuwaiti club issued an explanatory statement in which it confirmed that what happened was the responsibility of the organizing company, which demanded an official apology to the two clubs.


He said in his statement: “Kazma Sports Club followed the news circulating on social media regarding the friendly match that was held on Thursday evening against Telephonet Beni Suef Club, which ended with a score of 1/7 in favor of Kazma, as part of the team’s preparations for the next sports season, and therefore the club would like to state the following:


The responsibility for organizing the training camp in all its details, including the friendly matches scheduled to be held on July 18-22-26-30, falls on the company organizing the camp according to the contract signed between the club and the company.


No upcoming friendly match will be held without official approval approved by officials of the two clubs.


The company organizing the training camp bears legal and criminal responsibility and the resulting impact of this error towards the two clubs, Telephone Beni Suef and Kazma Club.


The company publishes an official statement on its official website on social media and print media immediately after publishing this statement declaring that it bears full responsibility for this mistake and submits an official apology to the two clubs and pledges not to repeat this mistake in the upcoming matches and for the remainder of the camp period.


The organizing company apologizes

Starmaker Football, the company organizing the match, apologized for the incident, confirming that it had been deceived by a person who claimed to be a representative of the Beni Suef Telephone Club.


The company said in a statement: “Starmaker Football Company extends an official apology to the Board of Directors of the Kuwaiti Kazma Club and all its fans for the unintentional error regarding the friendly match that was held on Thursday evening, as the company had previously agreed to hold several matches, and among them was a match between the Kazma Club and the Telephone Club of Beni Suef. ".


The statement explained: “But unfortunately, the company was deceived by representatives of the Beni Suef Telephone Club, which later turned out to have no connection to the club. It also falsely claimed that the competing team represents the Beni Suef Telephone Club, and the company denies the Kazma Club’s relationship with what happened, as well as the Telephone Club.” Bani Sweif".


She continued: “Accordingly, the company pledges not to repeat the unfortunate incident in the future, and that it bears financial and moral responsibility for that and submits an official apology to the Board of Directors of Kazma Sports Club. We ask you to accept the apology.”
