The military spokesman for the Yemeni Houthi group, Yahya Saree, said on Sunday that the group targeted vital targets in the Eilat region in Israel with several ballistic missiles.
Yahya Saree confirmed that the Houthi response to the Israeli attack is "inevitably coming... and it will be big and great."
Sarie said that important areas in "Umm Al-Rashrash" (Eilat) were targeted with a number of ballistic missiles, adding that they "successfully achieved their goals."
The Houthi spokesman also indicated that the American ship "Puma" was targeted in the Red Sea, stressing the continued attack on Israeli, American and British ships heading to Israeli ports.
Yesterday evening, Saturday, Saree said that the group would not hesitate to attack “vital targets” in Israel, noting that “Tel Aviv is unsafe.”
He added, "We are preparing for a long-term battle with Israel. We will respond to the Israeli attack" on Hodeidah.
Earlier today, Sunday, Israel said that its air defenses intercepted a surface-to-surface missile launched towards Eilat from Yemen, using the “Arrow 3” missile defense system.
