First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef arrived in Iraq today, Monday, on an official visit to participate in the Second Baghdad International Anti-Drug Conference 2024.
The Iraqi Ministry of Interior said in a statement that Iraqi Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari was at the head of the reception of Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef at Baghdad International Airport.
The conference, which will be held at a ministerial level under the patronage of Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad al-Sudani, is scheduled to begin later today, with the participation of delegations from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria, Turkey, Iran, Lebanon, Egypt, as well as Iraq.
The conference is also scheduled to discuss efforts to combat drugs and ways of coordination and cooperation between the countries of the region to reduce their dangerous effects.
