The Kuwait Municipality announced today, Tuesday, that it has cut off electricity to 26 violating properties inhabited by bachelors in the Khaitan area, in cooperation with the Ministry of Electricity and Water.
The municipality said in a press statement that cutting off electricity to the violating properties comes after taking legal measures, most notably placing a sticker on the violating property.
It stated that the inspection teams had previously issued violation reports against the owners of those violating properties in which bachelors were found to reside, in order to limit the spread of this phenomenon in private residential areas.
