An Egyptian government source confirmed that the swearing-in ceremony for the new Egyptian ministry will take place on Wednesday, at the presidential headquarters in Cairo.
The source explained that the change includes a large number of ministerial portfolios and governors, and also includes merging ministries and creating other ministries within the framework of the president’s directive to develop government policies to keep pace with the challenges facing the state.
According to the source, the new government will work according to a specific program that takes into account the order of priorities, foremost of which is improving the services provided to citizens, structural reform of the economy, and encouraging investment.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi had assigned Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly to form a new government a month ago.
Al-Sisi assigned Madbouly to form a new government, with distinguished competencies, experiences and capabilities, that would work to achieve a number of goals, most important of which is preserving the determinants of Egyptian national security in light of regional and international challenges, and placing the file of building the Egyptian human being at the top of the list of priorities, especially in the areas of Health and education, and continuing efforts to develop political participation, as well as in the files of security, stability and combating terrorism in a way that enhances what has been achieved in this regard, and developing the files of culture, national awareness, and moderate religious discourse, in a way that consolidates the concepts of citizenship and societal peace, according to a statement published on the page Egyptian presidency.
