This evening, Sunday, the Kuwaiti Winter Games Club celebrated a group of the club’s outstanding players, male and female, in high school for the academic year (2023/2024), during the ceremony that was held at the club’s headquarters under the patronage and presence of the club’s honorary president, Sheikh Jaber Bandar Al-Sabah. The ceremony witnessed the honoring of 22 male and female players from Various games.
Chairman of the Board of Directors, Fuhaid Al-Ajmi, confirmed that the club is keen annually to honor its members, players from the various five sports that it supervises, in order to encourage them to excel and achieve academic achievement, in addition to their practice of sports and success in it.
He pointed out that the club aims with this honor to encourage its players to work diligently and achieve academic excellence in addition to athletic diligence, since academic success and excellence reflects positively on athletic excellence.
He extended his deep thanks to the honorary president of the club, Sheikh Jaber Bandar Al-Sabah, for his sponsorship and attendance at the honoring ceremony, praising the support of the Deputy Director General of the General Sports Authority for the Sports for All sector, Hamed Al-Hazeem, for his sons, the players, which was embodied by his attendance at the ceremony and contribution to honoring them.
For her part, Fatima Al-Issa, the Kuwaiti national team player in figure skating, said that the club’s initiative to honor them is a wonderful step to encourage them to excel scientifically and athletically, expressing her and her colleagues’ overwhelming happiness with this distinguished honor from the club.
The ceremony was attended by a number of club board members, club team managers, and parents of outstanding students.
