Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Mishal Al-Sabah praised the keenness of Kuwait and China to strengthen the bonds of cooperation and joint work at all levels, especially those related to military aspects.
This came according to a press statement issued by the Ministry of Defense today, Monday, during the participation of Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Al-Sabah and the representative of the Chief of Staff of the Army, Commander of the Land Forces, Major General Khaled Zayed, in the Chinese Embassy's celebration yesterday, Sunday, of the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.
The statement indicated that this participation comes in response to an invitation from the Chinese Ambassador Zhang Jinwei and the Chinese Military Attaché Xue Chuanlai, in line with the custom of the participation of sisterly and friendly countries in their national celebrations.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense said that the two sides have achieved remarkable progress and agreement in the military aspects in the fields of education and military training, an example of which is the weapons and ammunition factory at the Supply and Logistics Authority.
He stated that participation in this national celebration of the friendly Republic of China comes as an affirmation of the political leadership's keenness to develop and advance the bonds of cooperation and relations between the two friendly countries and advance them. The ceremony was attended by a number of senior military leaders in the Kuwaiti army.
