Munir Nasraoui, the father of Barcelona star Lamine Yamal, confirmed that he lived moments of fear and terror when he was stabbed in the town of Mataró.
He said in a phone call to the "El Chiringuito" program in Spain, describing the moment of the attack on him: "I was afraid, I saw myself between life and death, I felt afraid like any human being."
Nasraoui added: "We have to be calmer, for the good of everyone, for me and my family. Because I have no other choice."
He continued that "justice will do its job, and it will certainly do so, this is the most important thing."
Nasraoui also shared a photo of himself with his son on Instagram during the coronation of the European Nations Championship 2024 and wrote: "I will come back stronger than ever."
Munir Nasraoui was stabbed on Wednesday evening after a fight in a parking lot in the town of Mataró, north of Barcelona.
Police in Barcelona have arrested four people accused of participating in the stabbing of the father of 17-year-old Spanish football star Lamine Yamal.
Spanish police thanked citizens for their help in arresting the suspects in the stabbing of Munir Nasraoui.
